Fabric Customization

Build your sofa fabric from the ground up. Start with warp knitting or weaving, then choose GSM, width, and one or more finishing processes in any order to match your brief.

Weight (GSM): 220–600 gsm / Customizable

Start from samples—either send us your swatch for lab measurement (GSM, thickness, backing) or choose from our in-house swatches. We recommend and confirm the target GSM by application (residential or contract) before lab dips and bulk.

Width: 140 cm or 280–320 cm / Custom

Standard single or double width for efficient cutting; special widths on request.

Finishes (optional)

Easy-clean, stain-guard, water-repellent, anti-pilling, anti-bacterial, FR (BS 5852, TB117-2013).

Composition & Backing

100% polyester or blends (poly-viscose/acrylic); knitted, non-woven, or foam-laminated backing.

Roll & Packaging

Roll length 30–60 m (custom on request); export packing with shade control & lot traceability.

Sampling & MOQ

Lab dips & knitdowns in 1–3 days; custom colors 300–500 m/color (stock items may have no MOQ); bulk 7–20 days depending on process mix.

Construction: Warp Knit / Woven

Select warp-knitted bases (tricot/velour) or woven structures (plain/twill/jacquard) for the hand feel and durability you need.

Process Options (single or combined)

  • Dyeing (piece/yarn) — solid, consistent shades
  • Printing (rotary/digital) — patterns & branding
  • Foil Stamping — metallic accents, luxury look
  • Embossing — 3D textures and grains
  • Burnout (Devoré) — layered/pattern effects

Our Recently Completed Client Success Stories

Helping a buyer choose the right crinkle sofa fabric through process clarity

our cases sofa fabric 01

Client & Brief

A regional sofa manufacturer wanted a soft crinkle-look upholstery with stable color and easy care but was unfamiliar with how sequence affects results.

Our Approach

We proposed two feasible routes and produced A/B samples in the same color and width so the team could compare touch and performance side by side.

Two Process Options
Route A: Weaving → DyeingCrinkle → Lamination
  • Softer drape and smoother handfeel.
  • Fuller color depth; slightly better elastic recovery.
  • Comfort-oriented look and touch for cushions/sofas.
Route B: Weaving → CrinkleDyeing → Lamination
  • More textured, “dry” hand; firmer body.
  • Stronger surface relief; peaks may read slightly cooler in shade.
  • Great for accent chairs or a structured aesthetic.
Price & Lead Time

Pricing is similar for both routes; lead time is driven by scheduling rather than the route itself.

Validation
  • Lab notes for GSM, width, and backing on both A & B.
  • Color fastness to rubbing and pilling grades.
  • Care card for cleaning and daily use.
Outcome

The buyer selected Route A for seat cushions (softer, cozier) and Route B for accent chairs (firmer texture). Positive retail feedback led to repeat orders.

Buyer Tip
  • Prefer a softer hand and fuller shade? Choose Dyeing → Crinkle (Route A).
  • Prefer a more textured, structured feel? Choose Crinkle → Dyeing (Route B).
